On January 18, 2001, Startech opened its 6,000 square foot Demonstration and Training Center located in Bristol, Connecticut. The facility houses a state of the art 10,000 pound-per-day Startech Plasma Converter closed-loop elemental recycling system. The Company has been demonstrating its Plasma Converter to many small and large groups of people from industry, legislatures, government agencies, environmental groups and academia as well as to financial institutions and shareholders from all corners of the world.

The Center is used to train company distributors, representatives, and customers as well as for providing the following services:

• Testing and analysis services
• On-line testing laboratory
• Third-party validation services
• Applications engineering services
• Performance of engineering services relative to processing characteristics of waste streams.
